11:30am [11:30am-1:00pm] ASTD-Lincoln: Professionalism in a Dot Com World
Description:
American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), Thurs., February 18: “Professionalism in a Dot Com World” presented by Paula Pace of The Executive Development Group.

"Let’s bring in someone who is a professional.” Would your name immediately come to mind? How you speak, act, write or work determines whether you are regarded as an amateur or a professional and is crucial to your career success. How does one put forth and maintain a professional image in today’s world? And just what does a professional image look like? What does it entail? Is it the same for a banker and an advertising rep? How does professionalism influence your interaction with customers and clients? And finally, can you just relax with your peers? Everyone has one or two (or more) social and professional experiences that didn’t turn out quite the way they would have wished. Bring those experiences along with comments and questions. You will leave with greater insight to professionalism in today’s world. Enhance your professional image with tips from this month’s program, and take advantage of an opportunity to get a business portrait at a very special rate (see website for more details). Southeast Community College Continuing Education Center, 301 S. 68th St. Pl., Room 302, Lincoln; 11:30am-1:00pm.

Cost: $16 Members/1st & 2nd time guests; $32 Non-member. Register by Thursday, February 11, by calling 402-434-7557 or visit the ASTD-Lincoln website at www.astdlincoln.org .

ASTD-Lincoln is a professional association for people of diverse backgrounds. Through exceptional learning and performance, we create a world that works better.
